Terms and Conditions of Trinity Driving School

Driving licences and fitness to drive:

You must hold a current UK valid driving licence (provisional or full) and produce it on or in advance of your first driving lesson (unless you are under 17 years and having an off-road lesson). You must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements and must advise your instructor of any medication or prescription drugs you are taking that may affect your ability to drive safely before taking any lessons. You must advise of any changes to your driving licence during the period of tuition. You must be able to read a number plate at the statutory distance of 20.5 metres, if appropriate, with the use of glasses or contact lenses.

Payments and Cancellation:

Tuition fees are paid in advance. Payment must be made by bank transfer. All lessons are 2 hours.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson you must provide at least 48 hours notice. If you cancel or reschedule any lesson within 48 hours you will be charged.

If you fail to turn up for an appointment (Your instructor will wait at the agreed pickup point for 15 minutes only) and no cancellation notice was provided by you to the instructor before the start of the lesson then the full charge of the lesson will be payable.

The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson at short notice if it is suspected that the pupil may be unfit due to the effects of alcohol, drugs
(prescribed or otherwise) or any other condition that would cause his/her driving to be dangerous or illegal. In such circumstances the full amount of the lesson will be charged.

The instructor may refuse to carry on giving a pupil driving lessons without notice if the instructor is not satisfied with a pupil’s conduct or commitment throughout the lessons.

Driving tests and bookings:

All bookings are made on the understanding that the school is not responsible for the postponement of training due to traffic conditions, adverse weather conditions, illness or mechanical breakdown. Trinity Driving School cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of the postponement of any lessons, for whatever reason.

Your instructor reserves the right to refuse use of a driving school vehicle for test if he/she considers that provision of a vehicle could cause a risk to public safety.

If a pupil is required to wear glasses or contact lenses whilst driving and he/she fails to wear them on a driving lesson, then the lesson will be cancelled with full charge to the pupil.

Mobile Phones:

All pupils are to ensure that their mobile phones are switched off prior to
entering the tuition vehicle. The Instructor will not use his/her mobile phone during lesson time except in an emergency or when parked and to the benefit of the pupil.

Trinity Driving School reserve the right to change or alter any of the terms and conditions without notice, but will endeavour to inform pupils of any changes as soon as possible.
